Close Windows From Mission Control

The closest native Windows feature is hovering over show desktop on the task bar in Windows 7. If you'd like to have this Mission Control on your Windows 7, there is a tool you can download called Mission Control /Expose Clone W7. Simply download and extract the zip file, run the mc.exe. For example, you can close 'Dashboard' widgets while holding down the option key. I can't find a way to close windows and/or exit an application directly from Mission Control. Though I'm looking for a keyboard shortcut or builtin solution ideally, Third Party solutions are acceptable so long as the application is simple and non-intrusive.

I'd like to manage (close) the application windows for running applications, from Mission Control. Gnome Shell has something similar to Mission Control but each window has an 'X' at the top left that allows you to close it from the overview. This is the most natural way for me to 'clean up' my open windows.

To quite any open app from anywhere is most effectively done from the heads-up display: command tab opens the heads-up display.

Once the heads-up display is visible continue to hold the command key,

You move through the apps by taping the Tab key repeatable to move left to right, (or the tilde key to move right to left.)

Once you land on your app, Q will then quit the app (as in command Q.)

Following on from my previous blog ‘Prevent OS X help windows from hogging your screen', here's another defaults write configuring tip, this time it's all about disabling Mission Control.

When disabling Mission Control, it also disables the Spaces feature – providing that you close all of your spaces prior to disabling Mission Control.

To disable Mission Control in OS X, open the Terminal Application from /Applications/Utilities and enter the following command:

Mission Control Windows 10

There you go! The F3 key, the Mission Control Application or the 4-finger up gesture on a Multi-touch or Magic Trackpad no longer function and Mission Control cannot be opened!

If you do want to revert back to the default setting and enable Mission Control again, just enter the following command:
